Step in Residency Model:
The registered apprenticeship is a pathway within the Teacher Residency Model. It is not a path that will be appropriate for all, but one path that
assists in leading teachers to a professional license.

The education provider needed to complete the
related technical instruction (RTI).
The employer who provides the on-the job training
(OJT) and compensates the apprentice. The employer of the journeymen (Master or Lead Teacher Designation) who mentors the apprentice
during their RTI and OJT.
The recruitment and retention specialist at each
cooperative will work with the journeymen to record OJT and RTI in the Rapids Apprenticeship Partner Information Data Systems (RAPIDS).
The fiscal agent to the school district provides the
$5,000 stipend to the district for the journeymen. The fiscal agent to the EPP provides tuition reimbursement for the apprentice.
