Pre-Apprenticeship Training Registration Application Process:
This is your chance to sign up for an exciting online training program designed specifically for the youth and young people who will experience guided mentorship and individualized educational instruction.
Youth apprenticeship initiatives engaging both in school and out of school youth are growing nationwide. They provide learning which is structured around knowledge, skills, and competencies that lead to self-sustainable careers.
Students are recommended by their CTE Centers and go on post-graduation to work as full-time apprentices while completing their remaining instruction course and credit can be applied toward a college degree at a 4-year university.
We offer our young and youth apprentice the opportunity to study performance arts through creative online hybrid and in person classroom instruction environment. Student will create original written works, such as scripts, essays, poetry or song lyrics, for publication agencies.
Here’s a glimpse of what students will learn during their 90 Day Pre-Apprenticeship Training. These skills will align with their career pathway and updated resumes, and portfolios and presented to employers for (OTJ) Training.
- Write fiction or nonfiction prose, such as short stories, novels, biographies, articles, descriptive or critical analyses, and essays.
- Develop factors such as themes, plots, characterizations, psychological analyses, historical environments, action, and dialogue to create material.
- Revise written material to meet personal standards and to satisfy needs of clients, publishers, directors, or producers.
- Choose subject matter and suitable form to express personal feelings and experiences or ideas, or to narrate stories or events.
- Prepare works in appropriate format for publication, and send them to publishers or producers.
The apprentice will log into their online account every week to complete the minimum 4-hour weekly RTI Technical Skills and RTI Training Requirement.
