Women In Theatre Arts Registered Apprenticeship will gain hands-on experience with practical skills in communication, technical proficiency, and creative problem-solving. Learn how to effectively collaborate with creative teams, manage tight schedules, and ensure compliance with production standards. With a focus on professional development, this course also prepares you to lead with confidence, offering insights into personnel management and the dynamics of media production.
Play parts in stage, television, radio, video, or film productions, or other settings for entertainment, information, or instruction. Interpret serious or comic role by speech, gesture, and body movement to entertain or inform audience.
Here’s a glimpse of what applicants will learn during their 90 Day Pre-Apprenticeship Training. These skills will align with their career pathway and updated resumes, and portfolios and presented to employers for (OTJ) Training.
- Collaborate with other actors as part of an ensemble.
- Portray and interpret roles, using speech, gestures, and body movements, to entertain, inform, or instruct radio, film, television, or live audiences.
- Work closely with directors, other actors, and playwrights to find the interpretation most suited to the role.
- Perform humorous and serious interpretations of emotions, actions, and situations, using body movements, facial expressions, and gestures.
- Study and rehearse roles from scripts to interpret, learn and memorize lines, stunts, and cues as directed.
The apprentice will log into their online account every week to complete the minimum 4-hour weekly RTI Technical Skills and RTI Training Requirement.
