Pre-Apprenticeship Training Registration Application Process:

This is your chance to sign up for an exciting online training program designed specifically for veteran and their family members to provide them the opportunity to expand their working portfolio within the technology industry.

Employers have seen higher retention rates from veterans and report that their veteran employees demonstrate proven leadership, an ability to work well under pressure, and a strong work ethic – all valuable skills in an apprentice.

There are a variety of ways that you can connect your apprenticeship program with transitioning service members, veterans and their spouses.

 

Our computer technology apprenticeship training program provide veterans and their families the opportunity, knowledge and skills training in the field of IT Technology help desk support.

 

Here’s a glimpse of what students will learn during their 90 Day Pre-Apprenticeship Training. These skills will align with their career pathway and updated resumes, and portfolios and presented to employers for (OTJ) Training.

 

  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.

 

  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.

 

  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.

 

  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.

 

  • Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.

 

The apprentice will log into their online account every week to complete the minimum 4-hour weekly RTI Technical Skills and RTI Training Requirement.
